30sec teaser for the full video for Paul Archer's 'HEAVY SOUL' - see below for all the details on this production.
Video for Paul Archer's 'HEAVY SOUL' - the first single release from his upcoming album, ART, the packaging of which was also designed by yours truly. Another low budget classic - filmed in Portside Mill, Belfast in a couple of hours, edited on a long haul flight from Vietnam in 5hrs. When needs must, we must make do. Hopefully you'll agree, it came out very well though!
Promo film for the quirky earworm 'Not Yer Man', from Ali Mackenzie's latest album 'Sanctuary Wood'. Telling the story of a work-shy guy on long-term sick leave who dreams of a different life in a rock n roll band. Filmed at The American Bar and various other locations in Belfast, no dogs, work colleagues, Volvos or pints were harmed in the making of this film.
Promo film for the opening track of Colin Harper AKA The Legends of Tomorrow's new career-spanning retrospective, Weather at World's End. Filmed at East Belfast's (also) legendary Scott's Jazz Club and edited in my front parlour over the following few nights on a non-existent budget. The true definition of a labour of love.
Stop the presses - Northern Ireland Punk Legend Petesy Burns covers a Monkee's Classic! Shot in one day and edited in a couple more - a race against time and a triumph over adversity - ie; minimal budget.
Promo video what I produced for Dr Colin Harper's attack on Northern Ireland political croneyism. Filmed, naturally, at Northern Ireland's seat of mis-government, the Stormont Assembly buildings while dodging security people, and edited at a secret location in East Belfast...
A darker and more introspective musical turn from local axe man and delta blues specialist Lonesome Chris Todd. Much fun had with two wonderful dancers, the amazing Neil Hainsworth and Emily McDonagh, who took my silly idea and somehow made it beautiful.
And the second in Colin's series of musical tirades against the folks on the hill. Featuring a veritable who's who of local yet legendary musical talent which Colin seems, by some as yet undiscovered means, to pull in at whim to any musical project he sets his mind to.
NOTE: Colin's lengthy textual intro, while very funny, runs for a full minute. If that's too much Harper for you, just skip past it...
An oldie but goody - promo film for 'Queen of Hearts' by Brian Houston. Shot in one day at Belfast's Crumlin Road Jail before it was turned from a local lockup to a posh hotel, on zero budget with an unpaid cast and an old bathtub borrowed from Ian Beggs...
A short teaser reel showcasing some of my music video projects.
