My responsibilities and compliance policy as it relates to The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

What type of information I have
I may collect and process information including personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details), to enable me to provide goods and services, advise current and potential clients of new services or highlight case studies of my work which may be of interest. 

How I get the information and why I have it
Most of the personal information I process is provided to me directly by you for one of the following reasons:

• Consultancy or production services
• Sales enquiries

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases I rely on for processing this information are:

• Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting me at mark.case@me.com
• We have a contractual obligation
• We have a legal obligation
• We have a vital interest
• We need it to perform a commercial or public task
• We have a legitimate interest

What I do with the information I have
I use the information that you have given me in order to:

• Perform my duties for you
• Advise you of any change in the goods and services I offer
• Highlight or profile case studies of my work which may be of interest

I may share this information with my trusted suppliers - for example, I may share your name and contact details with a printer to enable them to deliver printed materials to your organisation premises.

How I store your information
Your information is securely stored on my data server located at in Belfast, and in the cloud with my Apple secure cloud storage service. I keep your essential information for the duration of any contract or business relationship with your organisation. At the conclusion of any contract or relationship I will then hold your information for a further period of seven years, after which time I will delete / dispose of it.

Your data protection rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:

• Your right of access - You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information. 
• Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask me to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete. 
• Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask me to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 
• Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask me to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
  Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that I transfer the information you gave me to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
• You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.
